Who are We to Become?

It can be difficult to read the Prophets from the Hebrew Bible. With all the emphasis on judgement and warning, it can be tiring to read over and over again. But when we realize that the issue wasn't about Israel just following the rules but about who they were to become, our perception changes. And this, then, allows us to see how the prophetic books can speak to us as well when they make us ask ourselves: who are we becoming?
