What Kind of Company Does He Keep?

Those that Jesus invited to be his followers raised a lot of eyebrows because they were not the kinds of people one would expect a rabbi to call. How significant is it that Jesus did this? What would we have concluded had we been there to witness this? And what impact does this observation have on how we view people in general and those who show up at church in particular? Is there anyone who couldn't be a follower of Jesus?
