The Humanness of Jesus

It is very easy in Holy Week for us to read the story of Jesus during this time and allow his divinity to eclipse his humanity. After all, we're in a hurry to get to the celebration of his resurrection and his victory through the cross! But we must be careful not to do that. Jesus was really human, as the Apostle Paul emphasized in his letter to the Philippians. And as we continue our journey through the Gospel of Mark, we will see that it is essential for us to embrace how Jesus fully embraced his humanness, and what that means for us in ours . . .
