Who Is This God We Are Called to Love?

In Derwyn’s absence parishioner Margaret Hogarth uses the gospel reading to explain how in Jesus’s teaching on prayer he tells us about the character of our God. God considers himself our Father and welcomes our use of that title. We are invited to boldly, even shamelessly, approach our Heavenly Father in prayer. He is more than willing to give us what we need even more than the best friend we could have or the most perfect human father.
